So far this week, on Sunday I saw my first robin, on Tuesday my first grey heron, and yesterday my first red winged blackbird.
It has been ridiculously warm here in lower New York State and animals, birds, trees and flowers are thinking it is April instead of early March.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that we don't suffer for all this beautiful weather a little later in the spring..

We were just talking at the faculty lunch table the other day about how we remember having a snow storm and snow day in April one year. Since we have not had any snow days so far this year, we are holding out hope... But I really would rather say that there will be no snow days and I'd be okay with that if I can keep the sunshine and warm weather! Alison
